The LSP 500 PRO operates with a lithium battery. The operating temperature range for this battery is between 0 °C to 50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F). Because this sound system is ideal for outdoor use, we do expect that customers may want to use it in below freezing temperatures. To ensure that the sound system works when you want it to and to prevent damage to the battery and components, we recommend the following course of action:


  • Do not leave the equipment outside for in freezing temps without use.
  • Make sure the equipment has been adequately warmed before use by having it inside a warm vehicle or building.
  • Start the equipment before the event begins so it's warmed up. Having the equipment on will generate enough heat to keep the battery going.  


In normal conditions, the battery lasts 6-8 hours and it can last longer if there is not heavy use, like music playing non-stop. If you're planning on using this speaker in freezing temperatures, please call us so we can make sure the equipment is going to work for you.
